Diving Conditions | 12-18 March 2006

More Leopard Sharks this week to the delight of divers and snorkellers. Blue Gropers, Red Emperors, Old Wifes, Jewfish, turtles, a number of species of colourful nudibranchs (for example: Glossodoris atromarginata, Chromodoris splendida, Ceratosoma amoena) and different species of rays. Generally a lot of fish life all week.

Beautiful weather with sunny days and cooler nights and mornings. A few clouds, but no rain. Soft breezes mainly from the E/SE briefly turning NE at the end of the week.
The Bay was calm all week, flat as a pancake on some days. Bit of a surge on Wednesday.
Water temperature
25 – 27°C, some cooler thermoclines at the end of the week
Very nice at the beginning of the week: 15 – 20 meters. Dropped on Thursday to 5 – 10 meters with a green tinge, but improved again on Friday afternoon.
