Another week without Leopard Sharks, but lots of Blue-spotted stingrays. The Numbrays are out and about too. Pretty scary when they get close! The cooler water must have scared off the Leopard Sharks, because there weren’t many of them this week. A few squid hovering mid-water, Spanish Dancers (Hexabranchus) and their egg ribbons, loads of Blue-spotted Stingrays and some Numbrays, besides the usual stuff like Blue Gropers, turtles, parrotfish, anemonefish, lionfish and moray eels. No Leopard Sharks this week. The Blue-spotted Stingrays make up for that and can be seen lying on the sand, piled on top of each other. Weather Sunny and warm for most of the week, some clouds appeared on Friday and Saturday. Sea The Bay was fairly flat, calm surface conditions. Strong currents on Thursday.
