Diving Conditions | 20-26 March 2005

More Leopard Sharks. Mainly in the shallows , but the occasional one ventures into the deeper end. Plenty of White-spotted Eaglerays and turtles. Weather Sunny on Sunday and Monday, but the rain moved inon Tuesday. Cool SE-SW winds and cool nights Sea Pretty calm all week. Water temperature 24 – 26°C Visibility Clean currents cleaned up at Julian Rocks: 20 meters visibility.

Leopard Sharks are back. Wednesday divers saw the first one and they have been sighted regularly again since then. Another week without Leopard Sharks, but lots of Blue-spotted stingrays. The Numbrays are out and about too. Pretty scary when they get close! Diving Conditions | 27 February-5 March 2005

The cooler water must have scared off the Leopard Sharks, because there weren’t many of them this week. A few squid hovering mid-water, Spanish Dancers (Hexabranchus) and their egg ribbons, loads of Blue-spotted Stingrays and some Numbrays, besides the usual stuff like Blue Gropers, turtles, parrotfish, anemonefish, lionfish and moray eels.
