Schools of these fish are seen in all areas around Julian Rocks, Juveniles can be seen feeding frantically on the bottom in small groups. They use a pair of strong barbels located on the chin to find food.
TheClown Triggerfish
(Balistoides conspicillum)
The colourful Clown Triggerfish is easily recognised by the dots on its belly and the yellow patch on the back. A very shy fish that is mainly seen on its own.Loggerhead Turtle (Caretta caretta) Julian Rocks is lucky enough to have some Loggerhead Turtles making a regular appearance. Most of them are old, big males with a carapace of approximately 1 meter in length.
